Bridging Europe and the GCC: Where Opportunity Meets Connection

Europe and the Gulf Cooperation Council are becoming increasingly connected through trade, investment and business.
In 2025, total trade in goods between the EU and GCC reached €165.7 billion. The EU is now the GCC's second-largest trading partner, while the GCC is the EU's sixth-largest export destination. At the same time, new trade agreements and strategic partnerships are being explored between Europe and individual Gulf countries.
For businesses, investors and entrepreneurs, this creates an increasingly interesting landscape.
But identifying an opportunity is only the beginning. Turning it into something tangible requires market understanding, access and, above all, the right relationships.
Two regions. Complementary strengths.
Europe brings established businesses, expertise, technology, brands and investment experience.
Across the GCC, ambitious economic diversification programmes are creating opportunities in areas ranging from real estate and infrastructure to tourism, logistics, manufacturing and technology.
Saudi Arabia, for example, is actively promoting international investment across sectors including real estate, technology, energy, manufacturing, tourism, healthcare and logistics through its Ministry of Investment.
Oman is similarly developing investment opportunities as part of Oman Vision 2040, with priority sectors including logistics, tourism, renewable energy, manufacturing, food security, healthcare and technology.
These developments create opportunities in both directions.
European businesses can bring expertise, concepts and capabilities into Gulf markets. Investors can gain exposure to rapidly developing sectors and projects. GCC-based businesses and investors, meanwhile, can use Europe as a destination for investment, partnerships and international expansion.
The opportunity therefore isn't simply Europe exporting to the Gulf.
It is about creating a bridge between two increasingly interconnected business regions.
Why relationships matter
Cross-border opportunities rarely happen through a simple introduction.
Markets have different regulations, cultures, decision-making structures and ways of doing business. A proposition that works in Amsterdam, London or Frankfurt cannot automatically be transferred to Dubai, Riyadh or Muscat.
This makes trusted relationships particularly important.
Knowing who to speak to is one part of the equation. Understanding whether there is a genuine strategic fit is another.
At TLX Dune Group, we believe the greatest value often lies in identifying that fit: bringing together the right opportunity, capital, expertise and people.
Beyond real estate
Real estate is one of the most visible examples of the economic development taking place across the Gulf, but the opportunity is significantly broader.
Saudi Arabia's investment agenda spans numerous industries, while Oman's official investment platform currently presents opportunities across sectors including manufacturing, logistics, tourism and agriculture.
For TLX Dune Group, this is why our activities extend across three interconnected areas: Real Estate, Advisory and Partnerships.
A real estate opportunity may require an investor.
A European company entering the GCC may require a local strategic partner.
An entrepreneur may need market access or commercial advice.
An investor may be looking for opportunities that are not easily identified from a distance.
Different situations, but often the same underlying requirement: connecting the right people around the right opportunity.
The next chapter of Europe-GCC business
The direction of travel is encouraging.
The European Union and UAE formally launched negotiations for a bilateral free trade agreement in May 2025. In parallel, the European Commission has been authorised to negotiate trade agreements with GCC countries that could take the form of regional or bilateral agreements and strategic partnerships.
For entrepreneurs, businesses and investors, stronger economic ties can create new routes for investment, expansion and collaboration.
At TLX Dune Group, we want to operate at this intersection.
Independent, entrepreneurial and relationship-driven.
Connecting opportunities between Europe and the GCC, and helping turn introductions into meaningful partnerships.
